Ben is General Counsel at GMA, where he oversees the organization’s legal affairs.

He brings 15 years of experience spanning private practice, government, and industry. Prior to joining GMA, Ben practiced at an international law firm and held legal roles with the City of San Diego and the State of California. He later served as Legal Director at a voluntary carbon market standards organization and as General Counsel of an energy software and consulting company. He brings deep expertise in the legal issues associated with decarbonization, air quality and climate regulation, and carbon markets.

Ben graduated cum laude from Claremont McKenna College with a degree in International Relations and earned his Juris Doctor with Highest Honors from the George Washington University Law School. Ben lives in Portland, Oregon.
